GreenPower FAQs

Q: I want our school to participate in the GreenPower program. What’s the process?

A: If you are an instructor or administrator at a Nevada school, please fill out and return the GreenPower Program School Request for Consideration of Participation. Please note on page four of the application that smaller installations are available, allowing us to involve more schools in the GreenPower program in a shorter time.

GreenPower will retain any received applications until enough funds are generated from our power customer contributions. Once enough funds have been generated, the GreenPower committee will choose an interested school from among the received applications.

Additionally, any school that can fund its own installation, or provide any financial assistance to the process, could greatly accelerate the acceptance process.

Q: I wish my child were involved in a GreenPower school. What can I do?

A: Refer your child’s Science teacher or Principal to the GreenPower website and encourage them to investigate the option.

Q: I want to install solar panels on our home or business. How do I do that?

A: GreenPower is only involved with solar panel installations at K-12 schools or public community centers in Nevada. For assistance with solar installations in your home or business, contact:

A: Simply put: spread the word! Tell your friends, relatives, and neighbors to learn more about the GreenPower program, and encourage them to make donations as well. It all adds up!
